Line-up Henley Douglas RnB (HDRnB) HDRnB is an original R&B/soul/groove band founded by in late 2010, featuring Henley Douglas Jr. (sax), John Iltis (drums), Charlie O’Neal (guitar), Peter Fedele (guitar) and Brandon Tarricone (guitar) Squantch (trombone), David Walker (bass). The band features Garret Savluk (trumpet) and Yahuba (percussion) on special shows. Henley Douglas Jr.’s early career includes stints with the Big Dig Saxophone Quartet and Skin, a Boston-based funk-rock outfit that would open for acts like the Neville Brothers and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He founded the Heavy Metal Horns, a band that reached international acclaim in the 90s, and for 10 years, fronted the Boston Horns, a funk/jazz band also featuring HMH alum Garret Savluk. Henley Douglas Jr., saxophone Garret Savluk, trumpet Brandon Tarricone, guitar Peter Fedele, guitar Dave Walker, bass John Iltis, drums Noé Socha & Eric Reardon Noé (pronounced ‘No-ay’) Socha is a New York City-based guitarist and harmonica player from Carpi, Italy. He began playing the guitar at age 12, influenced by artists like Bob Dylan and Neil Young. While studying music at Musicology, he discovered the Blues and immediately fell in love. His favorite Blues artists include Mississippi John Hurt, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, and Lightening Hopkins. Noé has created his own signature sound, pairing fiery guitar technique with virtuosic harmonica playing. He has expanded his repertoire to an electric mixture of Jazz, R&B, Country, and Pop. Eric says he first picked up the guitar at age 9, getting lessons from his father. And his early musical influences, as could be expected, mirror those of his dad… Stevie Ray Vaughn, the Allman Brothers and, his personal favorite, Gov’t Mule. New England Blues legend, James Montgomery says of Eric’s guitar prowess “…he certainly is way beyond what I was at his age.” “What impresses me and my other band members about him is that he is a very inventive player; way beyond his years in terms of being able to just jam and go with it. His solos are seamless. He’s got really great ears, not only for someone his age, but for anyone.” Noé Socha, guitar and harmonica Eric Reardon, guitar Los Sugar Kings Los Sugar Kings is a Boston-based quartet known for their dynamic live performances, rich harmonies, intense musicianship and ability to transcend genres with an authenticity rarely heard. In their world, respect is paid to the forefathers and traditions of Afro-Cuban Son, Salsa and Rumba-Flamenca but Los Sugar Kings (named after a Cuban baseball team) also actively draw on influences from nearly every continent in their unique roots-rock-reggae fusion repertoire. All are highly accomplished on their instruments, however the true magic of Los Sugar Kings is how these four individuals come together to put on a performance worthy of any festival, party, club or concert hall. Every show is an intimate dialogue between the band and their audience, with both sides communicating in a manner that is spontaneous, passionate, thoughtful and joyous.
