Each Thursday in August, BAR NONE By DeSign will host a Film Festival: Every Thursday during Black August (5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th) at 7p.m Black August International South Film Festival Summary: • In The Land Of The Free… (documentary about the only recognized prison chapter of the Black Party, The Angola 3) • Prison Kids: A Crime Against America’s Children (documentary about children being incarcerated) • Day of the Gun (documentary about the Marin County Courthouse Shootout and how and why Field Marshall George Jackson designed Black August) • 40 Years A Prisoner (documentary on the most of the most controversial shootouts in American history, wrongful incarceration of members of MOVE Organization and finally, release of the last members) The films will showcase and commemorates Black August and reminds us of its origin and why it's our responsibility to be directly involves in the dismantling of the Prison Industrial Complex.
