Description

This silent retreat is intended to provide space for quiet refreshment and renewal. Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” (Mark 6:31) Jesus invites you to rest. Amidst the hustle and demands of the world and our social media feeds, Jesus invites us to silence. You are invited to spend a Saturday in the quiet spaces of the Abbey--to listen, to be still, to rest, to be refreshed, to simply be. Our day will be begin at 9 am with morning prayer, and we will maintain the spiritual discipline of silence together until 4 pm. A catered lunch will be provided. A private, 30-minute session with a spiritual director will be available. You are welcome to bring a Bible, a journal, and something to write with.
