Stop single use plastic! Join The Watershed Project in cleaning up plastic trash and calling out the companies that made it! Date and Time : Saturday, September 25, 9am-12 pm Location: Memorial Park, 1325 Portland Ave., Albany, CA Fun and educational activities include: Cleanup and data collection using data cards or the Clean Swell app Trash sorting game and advocacy to stop plastic pollution Most unusual item contestAll cleanup supplies are provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own bucket, water bottle, and gloves. Wear a mask when you are within six feet of other people. Wear sun protection and close toed shoes. Space is limited to 40 people. The Watershed Project is committed to inspiring Bay Area communities to understand, appreciate and protect local watersheds. We are working to restore and preserve the unique ecosystems that make up the San Francisco Bay. We bring a watershed perspective to the urban environment, promoting green design and supporting natural cycles.We engage students, teachers and classroom volunteers, in creek beds and on the shoreline, giving them the tools to create and care for healthy watersheds. We reach out to support grassroots watershed organizations and nurture young people who aspire to environmental careers defending precious natural resources.We all have the power to protect our local watersheds.
