First shift maintenance department opening, full time 40 hours per week The ideal candidate will have previously held a position in the maintenance or construction/trades but this is not a requirement. The shift starts at 6:00 am and ends at 2:30 pm Monday through Friday. No nights or weekends unless a building emergency arises. This position will require you to be on call for building emergencies when the Facility Manager is out of town. This building houses dozens of small business in the heart of Grand Rapids and is mainly an office environment. You must have reliable transportation and some knowledge of building maintenance. The position will require you to have daily interaction with our tenants which will require you to have some customer service skills. You must be able to occasionally push, pull and lift up to 50lbs. The position will also require you to pass a criminal background check and drug test. This position starts at $15.00 per hour (or more depending on skill level) with a $300 per month insurance stipend and 3% employer match Simple IRA. You will be granted two weeks of paid time off after the probationary period. Pay rate increase after probationary period, amount of increase is dependent on skills shown on the job.
