Join us for a panel with the four female pastors who run the Oak Lawn/Cedar Springs block!
For the first time since Union moved to the Oak Lawn neighborhood, all the pastors on the block of Cedar Spring and Oak Lawn are women! In celebration of this news, we're holding a panel discussion with Rachel Baughman and Kaitlyn Frantz from Oak Lawn United Methodist Church , Isabel Marquez from Gracia Viva, and Katie Newsome from Union Coffee! Our good friend and former associate pastor for Union, Rev. Dr. Baranda Fermin, now the Lead Pastor and Executive Director at Life In Deep Ellum will be joining us as moderator.
We'll be asking about all of the triumphs and pitfalls of their journeys into ministry and what it has meant to break down centuries of boundaries and become a leader in the church.
Union is a new kind of non-profit coffee shop that exists to care for the well-being of its neighborhood. They do so with three key things: outstanding coffee, robust community and engaging causes.
