Come Out Anytime Between 2-5 pm on Saturday for U-pick Muscadine Grapes Join us at the Growing Minds Non-Profit Educational Farm pick your own muscadine grapes fundraiser - $5/quart. We will be set up for U-pick from 2-5 pm. Feel free to feed a few grape leaves to our friendly goats- Willy, Billy and Tina while you're here. Registration is free we just have 15 registration spots to maintain social distancing and our parking is limited. Cash, Card or Venmo. Growing Minds Project is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2015 in suburban Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Our mission is to educate and empower individuals to grow food everywhere! We believe that farming can no longer be restricted to rural areas. Our four acre farm is located in the heart of suburban Mount Pleasant. We currently have one acre devoted to an educational demonstration farm plot cultivated on the principles of sustainable agriculture and permaculture. It is a work in progress as farming not only teaches us self-sustainability but patience as well. As we continue to develop our farm we will also continue to add programs for the community, our youth and those with mental and physical disabilities. We believe that farming is not only an empowering experience but a healing one as well. It is critical that we preserve some of the last remaining land in our local community for the purpose of cultivation. Every day farm land is decreasing while population continues to increase. There is a time when we must put aside land for cultivation, teaching, healing and preservation. That time is now.
