Class of 2001 celebrates its 20th year reunion. *Worcester Latino Dollars for Scholars, Inc. is an organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to Latino students from Worcester as they pursue higher education. The organization is an affiliate of the Scholarship of America Foundation, a national organization that provides technical assistance to local scholarship efforts and is the nation's largest private-sector scholarship organization. Worcester Latino Dollars for Scholars mission is to increase access to higher education for Latino students by providing support for students who have the academic ability but may not have the financial means. This chapter has been in existence since 1994. We have raised more than $412,500 and awarded over 820 scholarships to area students. This year (2019) the organization awarded 24 scholarships to Latinos students in pursuit of higher education.
