A lecture by Prof. Brian Carl North Carolina State University The Thomistic Institute at North Carolina State University presents a lecture by Prof. Brian Carl of the University of St. Thomas, Houston, titled “Between Animal and Angel: Human Nature According to Thomas Aquinas.” Talley Student Union 4270 Thursday, Oct. 21 6:00 PM This lecture is free and open to the public. About the speaker: Brian T. Carl earned his M.A. in Philosophy from Saint Louis University and his Ph.D. in Philosophy from The Catholic University of America. He is an assistant professor at the Center for Thomistic Studies at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. His research focuses on Thomistic metaphysics, philosophical theology, cognitive theory, and moral psychology. The Thomistic Institute exists to promote Catholic truth in our contemporary world by strengthening the intellectual formation of Christians at universities, in the Church, and in the wider public square.
