Description
I have several axolotl babies ready for new homes.
Lucy's- $50
Melanoids- $50
Albinos- $50
Wilds- $30
A single axolotl needs at least a 20 gallon aquarium, 10 additional gallons per extra axolotl.
Water MUST be kept cool, suggested temp is 65° no more that 68°
This can be accomplished by using fans to set on the tank to blow across the water or an aquarium chiller.
NO gravel or rocks ever. Sand is ok when they are bigger, 5+ inches.
They eat cut up worms at the moment. There are other food options.
Aquariums need filtration, I suggest for a 20 gallon tank to use a sponge filter rated for 20 gallons and a hang on back filter rated for 20 gallons. A sponge may be needed to place over the intake to keep them from being sucked up to the filter. They love hides, just make sure theres no sharp edges. Since they are scale-less they have soft sensitive skin. Can not be kept with fish. Same size axolotls are the only compatible tank friend.
