This event is part of the Managing Cattle Enterprises for Success Program Series. The purpose of the Managing Cattle Enterprises for Success Program is to assist cow-calf owners and operators in identifying and applying management tools for the beef cattle operation that will maximize returns on investment and increase productivity in the cow herd and the acreage on which she is maintained. This program was developed for commercial cow-calf: OwnersOperators Managers Laborers***In light of recent CDC recommendations, face coverings, though not required, are EXPECTED IN ALL UF FACILITIES & UF/IFAS EXTENSION PROGRAMS, even if you are vaccinated. If you are expressing coronavirus symptoms or dealing with conditions that lend themselves to frequent sneezing or coughing (this includes cold virus, influenza, seasonal allergies, and the like), you are encouraged to stay home. The Polk County Livestock Extension Program is designed to provide educational programs and assistance for livestock producers, and promote agricultural awareness and its importance to our food system and economy.  This agent is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating these livestock Extension programs in Polk County.  The agent delivers educational programs in livestock production and management, forages and pastures, plant science, farm management, and agricultural awareness.
