KINGS EMBROIDERY & PRINTING is a Full Service Decorator Company; from Business Cards, Full Color Banners, Promotional Products, Screen Printed and Embroidered Apparel. We are looking for an experienced Embroidery Operator. We are currently looking for candidates who are very reliable and loyal to the company, and take pride in their work. Position Summary: Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Embroidery Operator position is accountable for transferring digitized design onto directed products. Operates multi-head embroidery machines. Responsible for helping with processing orders through understanding work orders, preparing garments, programming machines for the design, and making quality adjustments as necessary. Must possess a close attention to detail and follow good judgment to exceed our customers’ expectations. Responsible for meeting department and individual goals. Responsibilities to include but are not limited to: • Must follow all department Standard Operating Procedures. • Must learn or have existing experience with All embroidery techniques and applications. • Must be familiar with products and their construction to better understand embellishment opportunities and limitations. • Reads and understands work order to determine type, location and specialty of embroidery. • Must understand how the order needs to be produced prior to decoration. • Verify order for garment style, sizes, and quantities prior to beginning production. • Extracts the correct.dst file from source and enters the appropriate data into the embroidery system. • Selects size and color thread and draws it through machine guides and bobbin. • Ensures that correct thread and needles are used. • Produces sew-out for Embroidery Leads approval. • Removes and replaces bobbin when needed. • Regulate embroidery machine tension/settings. • Watch for quality issues and correct as necessary or bring it up to the Production Manager. • Notifies the office of shortages with orders. • Hoops garments correctly and efficiently. • Applies backing and solvy if needed. • Observes sewing operations to detect defects in stitching. • Informs Production Manager of machine malfunction. • Repairs defective embroidery or fills in blanks left by the embroidery machine. • Use scissors to trim away the backing if necessary. • Works ahead on prepping the next order. • Responsible for the quality of each embellishment. • Responsible for proper operation of equipment. • Maintains a neat and efficient working area. • Assists in solutions to improve efficiencies and can resolve issues in a timely manner. • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned. Qualifications: • Previous work experience or embroidery company preferred. • Must have or acquire full functional knowledge of Tajima and SWF equipment. • Ability to read and comprehend English instructions.  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers to fill out production records. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds • Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision to discern colors and fine detail!   Please respond to this ad if you are interested and we will contact you.
