Beer Tent raising funds for DDA. Weiner dog race, stein holding, flickin' chicken, yodeling, beer slide, live band, food and beer! Join Lake Orion for a fun evening in our Oktoberfest Beer Tent to raise funds for the Downtown Development Authority (DDA)! You will experience a live German Band, Beer and Eats. Participate in a Stein Holding, Yodeling, Flickin' Chicken, Wiener Dog Race or Beer Slide Competition! General Admission is $5, but pre-registration to the contests will earn you entry with your ticket. Stein Holding will begin at 7pm. Entry free is $5. Click here for full rules and regulations. Flickin' Chicken will be open play from 5-6 pm and 9-11pm. Tournament Bracket will begin at 6pm. Entry fee is $5 per individual. Flickin' Chicken is much like cornhole in which you will toss 3 rubber chickens at a target and receive 3 points for the bullseye and 1 point for the outer ring. You need 21points to win the game. Full Rules coming soon. Slingin' Chicken is open play all night! Sling shot mini chickens at the target, how many bullseyes can you get?! Weiner Dog Race will begin check in at 5:30pm. Full Rules Coming Soon. Yodeling Contest will start at 9pm. No entry fee required. Winner will be select by crowd applause and will receive a t-shirt and medal! Beer Slide Game will run from 5-10pm. $5 for 3 slides. Slide the full beer stein down the table and try to land on one of the lines to win beverage tickets. The farther you slide without hitting the back of the table the more tickets you will win! German Costume Contest will be announced at 10pm. A medal and t-shirt will be awarded to the best dressed individual and best dressed group.
