Saturday morning August 21st at 10:30 a.m. This is a beginner's guide to making plant medicine using the "folk method." This is a traditional way of making herbal medicine that does not involve fancy equipment, just basic kitchen measuring tools. In this talk Nora will make an herbal syrup, an herbal infused oil, a salve, and a tincture, as well as discuss the plants that would best be extracted using each preparation, and applications for these remedies.

We welcome back Nora Toomey of True Bloom Apothecary. She has deepened her herbal education and practice by becoming a Certified Clinical Herbalist through a 1,000 hour Apprenticeship and Clinical program at the Berkeley Herbal Center in California.
