Middletown Police Arrest Man After Main Street Crash

MIDDLETOWN, CT—Middletown Police have arrested a man for driving under the influence after a head-on collision Wednesday. Police say 20-year-old Cameryn Wade of Saybrook was driving north on South Main Street around 8:30 p.m. and crossed the middle line. He hit a 2004 Mercedes-Benz that was traveling southbound. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz is in stable condition, police say. Wade was taken to Middlesex Hospital and released. Police arrested him for operating under the influence and failure to drive right. According to a news release, Wade was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September 6.
