Suspect Fires Gunshots At Vehicle In Hamden: Police

HAMDEN, CT—Hamden Police are investigating after reports a passenger got out of an SUV and fired gunshots at another vehicle. A vehicle was stopped for the signal at Arch Street and Dixwell Avenue on Wednesday around 3:10 p.m. Police say a white BMW SUV stopped at the intersection. A passenger reportedly got out of the SUV and fired several gunshots at the first vehicle. Police say no one was injured and no vehicles were hit by the gunfire. The white SUV was last seen driving northbound on Dixwell Avenue, police say. Hamden Police are searching for a suspect, described as a black man in his early 20s, approximately 6 feet tall, of a medium build and with short braids in his hair. Police say detectives recovered some shell casings at the scene.
