Stuart Bowen has been appointed as the general counsel for Austin ISD.
A lifetime public servant, Stuart has served elected officials of both parties in rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse, providing legal strategy, managing crises, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Dig Deeper: Much of Bowens' experience in the public sector has been as a financial watchdog.
Stuart's public service career began as an Air Force intelligence officer, and, after graduating from law school in the early '90s, he came to Austin to serve as a briefing attorney for Texas Supreme Court Justice Raul Gonzalez.
