Ride-Share E-Scooters Coming To Littleton

LITTLETON, CO — A ride-share company is sending electric scooters to Littleton, the city announced Wednesday. The Bird scooters are set to hit the streets by the end of August. The city's partnership with Bird aims to ease parking and congestion on Main Street. "Riders must be at least 18 years old, are encouraged to wear a helmet on every ride, and are required to obey all rules of the road," the city said in a news release. "The electric scooters can be used on roads and in bike lanes and have a maximum speed of 15 miles per hour, but the limit will be capped at 10 miles per hour when operating in the area around Main Street and Alamo in Downtown Littleton. E-scooters must be parked out of the way of pedestrians and cannot block sidewalks or driveways."
