WATSONVILLE, CA — Ballots for the recall election targeting Gov. Gavin Newsom have been sent to Watsonville voters and votes are starting to trickle in. Election Day isn't until Sept. 14 but early voting options are available. In-person voting is already underway in the cities of Watsonville and Santa Cruz. There were 170,000 people registered to vote in Santa Cruz County as of July 16, the most recent day for which data was available. Still haven't registered to vote? You can do so here. Ballot Drop Boxes You can always drop your ballots in the mailbox, but there are plenty of ballot drop boxes throughout the county you feel more comfortable using one.
