WALNUT CREEK, CA — Ballots for the recall election targeting Gov. Gavin Newsom have been sent to Walnut Creek voters and votes are starting to trickle in. Election Day isn't until Sept. 14 but early voting options are available. There were 706,000 people registered to vote in Contra Costa as of Thursday. Still haven't registered to vote? You can do so here. If you need to register after Aug. 30, you'll have to visit an early voting site in Contra Costa, the Elections Division office in Martinez or an Election Day polling place. Voters have already received information guides. Anyone who does not receive a ballot by Aug. 30 should call 925-335-7800.
