By Jon DePaolis, Richard Free Press: TINLEY PARK, Ill. — Hannah Lipman is getting a promotion. The current Tinley Park assistant to the village manager was appointed to the second assistant village manager role Tuesday, Aug. 17, by a 6-0 vote during the Village Board meeting. "Hannah started with the Village as an administrative intern in June of 2016," Mayor Michael Glotz said. "In May of 2018, she became full time as a management analyst. Hannah was promoted to assistant to the village manager in December of 2020. [That] position remains vacant. "The two assistant manager positions return the Village to the structure it had a few years ago." Lipman began her new role on Aug. 18. "Hannah has been with us for a few years and really has contributed in many ways," Village Manager Dave Niemeyer said. "I think, for a young professional, it is amazing what she has accomplished. She has worked above and beyond what her position has required. I think this promotion is well deserved. I know Hannah will have a bright future in the Village." The Village Board members congratulated Lipman on the promotion, including Trustee William Brennan. "Whenever you need something, Hannah is always eager and efficient to help you get it done," he said. "This is well deserved. I'm looking forward to [her] taking the next step." Lipman thanked the Villager Board during the meeting. "It's been a little over five years now, and if you would have told me back then that I'd still be here and in this position, I probably would have looked at you like you were a little crazy," she said. "But I just always say that I've been very fortunate that I've been trusted and thrown into projects and the work. I am surrounded by a great team, and I couldn't do it without the staff here. It's a great place to work with lots of good people. "There's lots of good happening within the organization and within the community. I'm just grateful and excited to continue to do the work."
