SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A dog stuck 40 feet down a cliff at Pescadero State Beach was rescued by San Mateo County firefighters on Wednesday night.
Firefighters used a rope system to lower the dog about 250 yards to safety down to the beach.
Photos from the rescue via the Cal Fire CZU Twitter account show a firefighter descending the cliff on a rope, with the help of flashlights in the dark.
