Description

PASADENA, CA — Seventh-graders at Marshall Fundamental Secondary School in Pasadena are now in a 10-day quarantine, following two confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the campus, the Pasadena Star-News reported. Students and parents found out about the positive cases on Wednesday, the paper reported. The Pasadena Unified School District declined to say if the cases involved students or staff members. The quarantine began Thursday, and it's unknown how many students are affected, according to the Star-News. Students testing negative for the virus before or after Aug. 23 and who show no symptoms will be allowed back on campus by Aug. 25. Fully vaccinated students won't be required to quarantine, but district officials recommend they get tested three to five days after the initial exposure. Unvaccinated students who decline to get tested must go through the full 10-day quarantine.
