Description

We are looking to hire a Civil Construction Inspector. This position will be responsible for the inspection of civil construction projects (e.g., roadways, utilities, stormwater systems) to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications. Requires the ability to read and interpret engineering plans and construction specifications to communicate with outside entities. May require occasional inspections outside normal working hours. May require the ability to crawl, climb and/or stoop on construction sites and extensive walking. Subject to traffic hazards and varying weather conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting the construction in one or all of the following areas: • Roadways, storm drainage systems • Water/sewer mains and other utilities Civil Engineering Construction Inspector Responsibilities: • Conducting field inspections as the Engineer’s Representative • Referring deviations and disagreements to engineer for clarification. • Maintaining records of documentation. Civil Engineering Construction Inspector Requirements: • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. • Effective oral and written communication skills. Experience as a Civil Engineering Construction Inspector is preferred.
