Press release from the City Of Davis: August 18, 2021 12:00 pm Concrete Work This week, the contractor will be working on concrete improvements on Pole Line Road (8th St to Loyola Ave), Rockwell Dr (Moore Blvd East to Moore Blvd West), and Grande Ave (Mercedes Ave to F St). Dig and Paving Work on Chiles & Lillard The contractor will also be working on digging repairs Chiles Road (past the Cowell/Chiles traffic circle to just east of the Dave Pelz Bike Overcrossing), and on Lillard Drive (3600 Block Lillard to Ohlone St intersection). Traffic Detection Loops on 8th St & F St and F St & 14th St Traffic detection loops embedded in the street that connect to traffic lights are also scheduled for replacement at the intersections of Eighth Street and F Street and F Street and Fourteenth Street on Thursday, August 19, and Friday, August 20. There may be some delayed due to lane closures and street light outages as this work is performed. Downtown – Striping Layout In Progress The contractor is also working throughout the downtown area to layout striping on the newly paved streets. For the digging, traffic detection loops, and striping layout work, there may be some traffic delays as there will be lane closures and shifts. Traffic will be flagged, and there may be some small areas where parking is impacted. Repair Work 2nd & G St On the evening of Sunday, August 22, to the early morning of Monday, August 23, the contractor will be working on a few repairs to the recently placed slurry seal on Second Street and G Street. The streets will not be closed, but there will be several parking areas along both Second Street and G Street that will be impacted, and traffic will be flagged around the areas of work. Questions?
