Rehoming Cattledog mix

Description

This handsome blue boy is Woody, a 2 year old Australian Cattledog mix. He weighs about 45 pounds. Woody knows basic obedience: sit, down, place, and heel. He also knows tricks like spin and nose. Plus, he is house trained. He is a smart guy and really wants to please his owner. Woody is good with polite dogs, after a proper introduction. Sometimes he will find a dog that he likes to play with. He currently lives with a lab mix and has lived with cats in the past. He would be fine as an only dog. He definitely isn't a dog park kind of dog. Woody is a fun guy for an active person who knows how to manage this breed. He LOVES to fetch both balls and frisbees. He is good in the car and likes to take walks, run, hikes and skateboard rides. Woody needs a smaller family where each person in the house is a solid leader. He can be protective of the house. While good on leash, he can be reactive. This can be fixed with training. When a neighbor stepped up to talk and reached his hand out to Woody's person, Woody nipped him in warning. There were no stitches. His adopter needs to know how to manage Cattledog tendencies to protect and require a polite introduction. For that reason, Woody is not appropriate for a home with kids. For the right home who has time to train, maybe engage a trainer, he will be a cuddler and good pal. He will also be an awesome fetching friend. Woody is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. We are asking $150 as a rehoming fee. We really love him and hope to find the best fit for him. Please feel free to contact me through call or text if you have any questions.
