UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A beloved Upper West Side chicken named Lady Sybil went missing from a local community garden on Wednesday, leaving her caretakers "devastated" and scrambling to find her. Lady Sybil is a black hen, who went missing Wednesday from the Columbia Secondary School community garden on West 118th Street and Amsterdam. Described as a "sweetheart," Lady Sybil is around seven to eight years old. "She is very friendly and could be picked up and petted," a member of the community garden told Patch. "She is a sweetheart." The name Sybil means prophetess or oracle. Lady Sybil is part of a volunteer-run chicken coop at West 118th Street and Amsterdam. She shares the space with three other hens: Mrs. Patmore, Big Fluff, and Penguino.
