Maine Beer Company is dedicated to producing the best beer possible, in a well maintained and organized facility. We are looking for a self-motivated and highly proactive individual with a strong work ethic, superior time management skills, the ability to multi-task, and exceptional organizational skills to join the Facilities team, and keep our facility running smoothly on a day to day basis. Position is full-time and based in Freeport, ME. This position is 40 hours per week, and paid hourly, dependent on experience. General working hours are from 7am-3pm, Monday- Friday. Duties and Responsibilities: (Including, but not limited to) • Work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager and Facilities Manager to assure all areas of MBC facilities are clean, organized, and well maintained. • Assist with managing and/or performing repairs and improvements to all MBC facilities. • Ensure timely completion of daily tasks. • Assist with larger projects as needed e.g. building renovations and warehouse, et al. • Assist with maintaining inventory of critical operating consumables for all MBC departments. • Maintain and clean all employee and building facilities including restrooms, showers, locker areas, water fountains, break rooms, offices, eyewash stations, gym, air purifiers, Purell stations, workshops, kitchens, decks and patios, TR fountain, parking lots and walkways, dumpster areas, building exteriors, gutters, fences, coolers, and roofs, et al. • Keep MBC support vehicles clean. • Help maintain all seasonal landscaping including irrigation systems, hardscaping, and snow removal. • Coordinate with Facilities Manager on disposal of E-waste and hazardous chemicals. • Assist with Shipping and Receiving, organize and distribute FedEx, UPS, and other packaged deliveries. • Keep open communication with all coworkers, and follow safe work practices. • Lead by example in all tasks, working cooperatively with the entire Maine Beer Company team. Qualifications: • Must be able to lift heavy loads. be comfortable on ladders, and be able to spend most of the day on your feet. • Construction experience, painting knowledge, and good mechanical aptitude are required. • Forklift and pallet jack skills are necessary, but we are willing to train in these areas. • Willingness to take initiative on projects with guidance and assistance from the Facilities Manager. • Acute attention to detail and superior organizational skills, time management, and a proactive and positive attitude are extremely important!
