About this Position SeeScan is currently seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in Plastic Injection Molds and molded parts to join our talented and growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for daily preventive maintenance of injection molds to ensure they are ready for production runs. This position also involves working closely with both molding and the mold build operations. Our ideal candidate is a team player who has experience troubleshooting molding problems as well as hands on experience with assembly and disassembly of injection molds. In this position, you will • Work with injection molding machines to facilitate the creation of molded parts • Repair, transport, troubleshoot, and make parts for injection molds • Be involved in mold repair, pin replacements, cleaning, lubricating, welding and machining of damaged or broken tooling and tooling components • Keep a neat and tidy work area • Be responsible for daily preventive maintenance of injection molds About You • Excellent manual dexterity • Knowledge of operating principles of Plastic Injection Molds, machines and parts • Ability to remain flexible with different tasks and changing priorities • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others as part of a team to successfully accomplish goals • Ability to work with hand and power tools to effect repairs and maintenance of Injection Molds. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to flag potential issues • Experience with maintaining and repairing injection molds and molding • Expert level of knowledge required in all aspects of disassembly and reassembly of injection molds and components • Ability to effectively troubleshoot, plan, communicate, and execute a plan to ensure the highest quality of repair Desired skills and experience This is a sampling of the type of skills and experience we’d like to see in our ideal candidate.
