Rehoming Finches
2 females, and 1 male. Cage is only a few months old. Many items included inside cage. Lots of artificial plants, and wooden branch, large nesting basking, and other nest. Rehoming fee $100.
Included: (value)
Finches- which we sold for $35 to $40.
This specific cage - sells around $120
Wooden log - we sold for $34
Fluval plant - $28 price in our store.
Nesting basket - around $39
Other plants and items included $6 -10
Finch food about $30 worth still left.
Additional notes: I took them from a customer who is an older gentleman with health issues, and could not take care of them any longer. I took them with the intention of rehoming them myself. I actually became attached to them, and have put off rehoming them until now.
I bought a larger flight cage, and all the content, except for the nesting basket that came with them previously.
If I were keeping them I would eventually buy an even larger cage or aviary.
I have many pets, and feel that keeping the Finches for myself would add more responsibility that I don’t need right now. Although they don’t take up a lot of my time, they do require minimal work. I believe the male has paired off with one of the females at the moment and are nesting. Usually they will eat whatever you give them, but at present, because of nesting they are only eating their seeds. I don’t know if this is normal for Finches, but they were nesting when I got them, and were exhibiting the same behavior.
One of the females is somewhat trusting and will land on my wrist when I’m placing food inside the cage.
I don’t know exactly how old they are, probably 2 or 3 of years old.
