Downey Street Community Jazz Band at ACC needs some horns!

This band rehearses and plays concerts at Arapahoe Community College. We'd like to find some horns to fill out our sections. We're looking for saxophones, trumpets and trombones. There are all age groups in the band so we welcome any or all who have the desire to play and/or have played in the past and want to revive their chops. We ask that you have at least a high school level of ability to play and read music. We generally play two free concerts per year in the auditorium on the ACC campus (we also rehearse there on Thursday nights). This is a fun band for people to enjoy themselves and who want to improve their playing. The ensemble is run by Conductor and Music Director Cecil J Lewis who has many years of professional playing and instruction. He is a veteran of 20+ years of service and band performing/directing for the US Air Force. He is a well-known figure in the Denver jazz scene and has directed several area orchestras and bands.
