Local Lack of Ethic in some politians

The question I am asking is this: Does anyone see an ethics issue when a politician accepts $1000 in marijuana from Dayspring who gave the $1000 worth of marijuana to Mayor Harmon. She was involved with writing the permit structure which according to Cal Coast News was written in favor of Dayspring. Dayspring gave lots of money in the form of donations to not only Harmon, but other local politicians as well. So when a politician, such as Mayor Harmon takes a "gift" of that value, would you say it is unethical and possibly illegal? Wouldn't you say that it is an indication of possible lack of character. Why would Mayor Harmon hang out in Daysprings marijuana offices on a regular basis, as stated by Dayspring, employees and reported by Cal Coast News. Would you want someone like this representing you? Another question, what in your opinion is the difference between a "gift" and a "bribe"? Usually, where there is smoke, there is fire.
