Local Raleigh company needs to fill maintenance technician position in our stone department. Previous experience preferred. $16-22 / hr based on experience. SUMMARY: Assist with the repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -- Repair, maintain and install machines and production equipment to ensure efficient and effective production and building operations. -- Equipment includes: robotic machines, fusion cutting jet saw. -- Inspect completed work for proper and safe operation and ensure conformance to specifications and standards. -- Create, closeout and manage work orders in maintenance program system and complete in a timely manner -- Promptly communicate and report any downtime to management and through existing systems. -- Effectively communicate shift handovers using face-to-face discussions and written logs. -- Conduct preventive maintenance to improve continuous operation. -- Collaborate with and make recommendations to the Maintenance Manager to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment. -- Review technical publications and manuals to stay abreast of technical developments and conduct proper repairs and preventative maintenance. -- Assist with inventory control for spare parts and supplies. -- Adhere to safety protocols and standards. -- Provide on-call emergency maintenance service when requested. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Preferred background in the stone industry Some electrical experience in the industrial field Minimum of 3 years of mechanical experience Ability to work independently CORE COMPETENCIES/ESSENTIAL QUALITIES -- Quality of Work: provides accurate results that are thought-out, complete; exhibits high standard for excellence, attention to detail; relays information that is sufficiently detailed and provides the desired effect from the customer. -- Time Management/Prioritization: the ability to work effectively in a multi-priority environment; exhibits consistent usage of effective time management skills and appropriate resource management; communicates interferences and delays to the manager. -- Informing: provides others with timely and organized information; provides clear directions, shares responsibility, and accountability. -- Problem Solving/Critical Thinking Skills: ability to use logical methods to solve problems while producing effective solutions; probes all appropriate resources for solutions. -- Relational Skills: the ability to relate well with all types of people, attentive and active listener; patience to hear others out and build rapport with dignity and tact; ability to effectively manage change and support and promote acceptance; encouraging, motivating, clear and effective communicator. -- Customer Service: dedicated to exceeding customer expectations, acts with customers in mind, establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance, hydraulics, and high-water pressure systems. EDUCATION REQUIRED HS diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PREFERRED Robotic machines, fusion cutting jet saw, filter press system experience preferred. Please respond via email, phone or text.
