MECHANIC / DRILLERS ASSISTANT WITH CDL

Available Position: GeoStructures, Inc. is looking for a full-time or part-time drilling assistant with strong mechanical skills. Responsibilities include assistance in geotechnical drilling operations and maintenance/repair of equipment, including gas and diesel engines, and hydraulic systems. Site work will be performed at various locations within the metropolitan Philadelphia area and vicinity. GeoStructures office is in King of Prussia, PA; maintenance work will occur at our shop near Downingtown, PA. Summary of Duties:  Assist in geotechnical drilling operations including a variety of drilling methods.  Maintenance/repair of equipment including gas and diesel engines, and hydraulic systems.  Interact with clients and other personnel (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) on project sites and in the office. Basic Required Qualifications:  Must have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).  A mechanical background is required, drilling experience preferred.  Good oral and written communications skills, as well as basic mathematical skills.  Must be reliable and able to be available on short notice.  Ability to work and enjoy working outdoors in all seasons.  Ability to lift over 60 pounds.  Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.  Must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Office is in King of Prussia but jobs are all around Philadelphia metro area.
