To all you songwriters out there! Laurita Winery will be holding a song writing contest on Thursday, Sept. 23 at 7 pm at the winery. Here is an opportunity for you to showcase your songwriting skill. The winner will receive either a $250 cash card or an opportunity to have a professional demo made at the Steve Berger Music Studio.
Information for contestants:
1. You can sing your own song or have someone else sing it.
2. If you already have a musical track accompaniment for your song, bring it. A fully recorded disc (singer and music) is also acceptable.
3. Each contestant can bring a second artist to accompany them if they wish, such as guitarist, etc. A piano is available on stage. No bands.
4. Each songwriter will be personally interviewed on stage before the performance.
5. There is a $25 registration fee.
The songs will be judged by three professional musicians.
