Haven Star is Live and back at Crazy Uncle Mike's. We just cant get enough! Haven Star Bio: Haven Star has been in the Entertainment Business as a professional singer throughout her whole life. Star has had the privilege to be raised around seasoned artists and also gained the experience of performing with many greats such as Pattie Labelle, Sam Moore, Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy, Ruben Studdard, Devon Allman, Rudy Perez, The Miami Symphony Orchestra, Benefit concerts and many more. Over the array of artists, she's worked with, this has allowed her to adapt quickly, seamlessly, and professionally to new situations and environments. Guitar Player Bio: Christian Davis received his degree in jazz studies from Florida Atlantic University and has played throughout South Florida with some of the stalwarts of the respective music scene. He has opened for 70’s rock bands Kansas and Edgar Winter. He has also played with founding members of The Turtles Flo & Eddie (Mark Volman & Howard Kaylan). Christian has remained active in the South Florida music community playing guitar as well as writing and arranging music for ensembles of varying genres. Drummer Bio: Evan was born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1976. He grew up in Baldwin, Long Island where he studied clarinet for 3 years, as his father was a professional clarinet, sax, and flute player for the US Army. He moved to Coral Springs, Florida at age 11, 1988, where he immediately switched to drums and percussion and took private drum lessons. While playing drums in the Stoneman Douglas High School’s drumline, concert, and jazz band’s, he was also touring the state with his metal band that was in many local magazines and radio shows, while also playing in the Great Miami Youth Symphony Orchestra. Evan studied drum set, intensely, as well as traditional Latin, Brazilian, and African hand drums as well as all mallet percussion (marimba, vibes, glockenspiel, chimes), as well as double-tenor steel drums. Evan studied music education at Broward College before finishing up at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. For the past 26 years, Evan was the General Manager of Resurrection Drums and Head of Education while also being a part-time music teacher at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Ft. Lauderdale. He left both for a while to become the Southeast United States Regional Manager for Sabian Cymbals before Sabian did away with all of the regional manager positions and then returned to both Resurrection Drums and Cardinal Gibbons High School. In addition, Evan has played in countless rock, pop, reggae, salsa, r & b/top 40, and country bands playing countless corporate, wedding, Bar/Bat Mitzvah gigs, and studio sessions playing everything from the drum set, congas, bongos, and timbales, to mallet or African percussion. Among some of the many artists, Evan has performed with: Tito Puente Jr, Wesley B. Wright (Miami Sound Machine), Stefan Vale (Rumba/Flamenco), Douglas Lloyd Ingle (Iron Butterfly), Miami Philharmonic Steel & Percussion Orchestra. Evan’s reggae band did several shows with reggae great, Gyptian. Evan has played in the pit orchestra of countless musicals (40 +)all over South Florida, even worked with Danny Goggin, the writer of Nunsense, and performed in his world premiere of Nunsense 3. Evan has played in countless theaters, arenas, and stadiums, bars, resorts, convention centers, and clubs, from the Florida Keys to Austin, Texas, to Madison Square Garden, Giants Stadium, and Fleet Center in Boston. Evan can still be heard and seen by various artists all over South Florida. Buy your tickets and reserve your table today.
