hey there! some friends and i are looking to start a small jazz band to meet regularly and play through standards. currently, we are a pianist, bassist, and guitarist — all at an intermediate level. you don’t need to know every standard (we certainly don’t) nor do you need to be the next art blakey. we’re looking for an experienced jazz drummer who is comfortable playing swing, blues, ballads, and bossa nova. we’re a pretty chill group and are all looking to learn while having fun so that we can gig down the line too. rehearsal sessions will likely be on monday or wednesday evenings in downtown manhattan (LES). please reach out if you are interested!
