Description
We're giving you three chances to give back and meet cool people as we celebrate 3 years in Denver and 9 years as an organization! Community Bucket turns NINE this August, and our Denver chapter turns THREE. That's cause for a triple celebration! We've put together 3 nights in a row of good ol' Service Made Social events at the end of August. And since we couldn't properly celebrate last Summer, we want to make up for it with an extra special party. Whether you've never been to a CB event or you're a regular, everyone is welcome and invited to join us. Gather your friends or come alone - it's the best damn way to meet good people in Denver, guaranteed! Here's What's In Store:Monday, August 23rd, 5pm-7pm We'll volunteer in the early evening with We Don't Waste, sorting and packing donated food items in their warehouse. This amazing nonprofit keeps tons of food out of the landfills and gets it into the kitchens of local Denverites struggling with food access. Hurry, space is limited on this one! (Located at 5971 Broadway, Denver, CO 80216, just north of I-70 & I-25) Tuesday, August 24th, 6pm-8pm We'll work with the Denver Parks & Rec team at Jefferson Park, where we will help with mulching, painting and other cleanup projects. Afterwards, we'll grab some food and drinks next to the park at Briar Commons Brewery. Wednesday, August 25th, 6:30pm-8:30pm We'll meet at Improper City for an after work happy hour and laid back evening filled with good drinks and good deeds. There will be food trucks on site, and we'll have some cookie cake to enjoy. We'll also be collecting supplies for the Coalition for the Homeless (additional details coming soon). About Community BucketWe are a nonprofit with a simple and fun mission of cultivating local connections through social volunteering. We have been planning Service Made Social events and building community since 2012, and we launched in Denver since 2018.
