Join us for a day of exploring farms from hydroponic lettuce, peaches and tomatoes, mixed vegetables and farm stands. The tour will leave from CSU Extension, Mesa County office at 2775 Hwy 50, promptly at 9 am, Friday September 10th. The bus is a school bus, so bring what you need to be comfortable. The tour will include stopping at 4-5 farms with lunch included. The Colorado Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association is covering the bus cost. The fee covers lunch and beverages. We will see and hear about growing hydroponically, traditional tomato growing, the pluses and challenges of running a farm stand and growing various fruits and vegetables. Specialist will provide information along the ride. CCAA Treasurer
