**PLEASE REPLY TO JOB POSTING WITH RESUME** National traffic data collection company is looking to fill an entry-level position. This position is for a contracted field technician with an opportunity for a full-time salary position upon a 30-day review. We are looking for an energetic applicant who enjoys working outside in different types of weather and has the ability to adapt on a daily basis. This job requires travel throughout Louisiana; mostly throughout the New Orleans metro area and Baton Rouge. Though most of the work takes place at night-time, applicants must have an open schedule to accommodate weekday, day-time, night-time, or mixed work assignments. Applicants must be open to occasionally travel out of town for extended periods of time (between 2 days to 7 days) to also cover work around neighbor states such as TX, MS & AL. Upon hiring, a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record will be required. All applicants will receive a background check and must be able to pass a drug test. All applicants will be required to train for up to four weeks in the Metairie, LA office. Technicians must be capable of learning about and installing traffic data equipment in selected roadways as needed. Most cases involve installing temporary cameras and tubing on street segments to record vehicle volumes. Applicant must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as well as stand and repeatedly bend for long periods of time. Thorough training will be provided for all study types and equipment handling. No prior experience is needed. Upon hiring, the company will provide a vehicle and the tools needed for the position. Excellent communication skills are critical to the success of this position.
