Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge Ribbon Cutting & Community Event Join Mayor Muriel Bowser and the District Department of Transportation for a community celebration of the New Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge. On Monday September 6, 2021, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, residents from across all eight wards are invited to celebrate the opening of the iconic bridge with a day of family-friendly fun, food, music and a multimodal parade.
