A conversation on our city’s post-pandemic horizon Thomas Dyja’s acclaimed new book New York, New York, New York: Four Decades of Success, Excess, and Transformation is a fast-paced panorama of the city’s last 40 years, profiling mayoral administrations from Ed Koch to Bill deBlasio. Kevin Baker, in a Times cover review, calls the book “a tour de force, a work of astonishing breadth and depth”. Dyja joins us in conversation with Architectural Record editor Cathleen McGuigan for a special celebratory National Arts Club re-opening event. Dyja and McGuigan will discuss what’s next on our city’s post-pandemic horizon, in particular the new construction shaping our future. This is an in-person event.
