Join us for The Making of Major the Bull, a presentation by Artists Mike Waller & Leah Foushee Waller. Liberty Arts invites you to learn how our beloved Major the Bull was made on Thursday Sept 30 outside on the patio at Unscripted Hotel overlooking the plaza; the perfect location! Major was sculpted by artists Mike Waller & Leah Foushee Waller, then cast in bronze. The sculpture was created from start to finish in Durham at Liberty Arts, a Studio and Foundry dedicated to enriching our communities with arts experiences that inspire, empower, educate, and entertain. Liberty Arts is celebrating it's 20th year and hopes to move it's casting program forward with a new series of classes taught by resident artist Tripp Jarvis. Tripp's new Program will unite a group of local Veterans and underserved youth of Durham and empower them to create, cast and make artwork. Tickets for this event are $40 each.
