Walter Charles Single Release Show ALL AGES Walter Charles and Mike Prescott with Afropiglets The Walter Charles Project Don’t touch that dial...The North Carolina collective known as the Walter Charles Project offers what they call, Life Music. With the musical influences of the Project’s artists; jazz, blues, rock, soul, folk, pop running throughout, melded with the unashamed flavor of lives formed as followers of the Christ, the nouveau christian music sound of the Walter Charles Project is something that needs to be heard, and invites ALL of creation to put preconceived notions aside, and listen. The Project includes singer-songwriter Walter Charles, previously of blakrayn, adahm, and the hawthornes; Jennifer Brown on keys/piano having performed with a number of leading christian music artists; Chris Keener of “Wiggle Wagons” fame, IATSE Local 322, on acoustic/electric guitar; and Chris Ervin, on saxophone with influences from southern gospel, to swing, and jazz. The WCP presents an eclectic sound for a quartet of vocals, keys, sax, and guitar. It’s like Seal and Sting meet Branford, meeting Sarah Bareilles, meeting Neil Young, all on their way to a different kind of worship experience, and what’s generated can only be described as Spiritual. You’ll want to check out the Walter Charles Project as they release a new single and showcase their original music repertoire. The Project will be joined by friends, the Charlotte grown AfroPiglets (consisting of some of Charlotte’s most talented scene players), and guitarist Mike Prescott of the Hawthornes, blakrayn, PepperClub fame. Everyone must have their State Issued ID scanned at the door. We are a private club selling liquor, which means you must become a member in order to purchase alcoholic beverages.
