Description

Hi there, I recently moved to the area and am looking for some folks to jam with. 34 y/o male, good gear (PRS, Suhr, Fender(ish)), pro attitude, and no drama. I'm looking to join a band with balanced, positive people who like to gig. I've been in bluegrass, funk, rock, and fusion bands, and I've been bandleader/songwriter for a couple of them. I don't have the time or bandwidth to launch my own project at the moment, so I'd prefer to meet some folks who want to have fun and perform around town. I'm down to play in a variety of genres, but I'm not really interested in bluegrass or metal at the moment. I'm best at guitar - I'd call myself an intermediate/advanced player. I can do some shreddy stuff, or play jazz vocabulary and follow the changes (I love Grant Green, Scofield, MMW, New Mastersounds, Metheny). Without ego, I can say that I can hang and then some. I also recently picked up a bass, and I'd be happy to play bass if you need some low-end in your life. I'm pretty versatile - what's important to me is great people and a chill, relaxed, and positive atmosphere free of drama. In the latest band I was in, I was bassist/guitarist for a high school female singer/songwriter along with her dad, and it was an excellent experience because her dad was a music professor and they were both super friendly. So hit me up! If you have some talent and a great attitude, I'd love to consider being your guy. For a sample of my music and playing, check out the first song off my (upcoming?) EP, Irresistible: https://open.spotify.com/track/1K3d9Ijrs3r8SCbXkyn8x4?si=b56a924592e34530 (guitar solo @ 3:01) I will be available to start practice and/or gigging around mid-September, but I'd love to get some conversations going to find the right fit and a great group of people. Hit me up if you're curious!
