SARASOTA, FL — With COVID-19 cases increasing throughout the region, two city of Sarasota departments — Utility Billing Services and Development Services — have resumed appointment-only services.
The move is "to safeguard community health during the current surge in COVID-19 cases," the city said in a news release.
To schedule an in-person appointment with Utility Billing Services, email [email protected] or call 941-263-6260 or 941-263-6261.
Residents can also pay utility bills by phone, by mail or online here. A secure drop box is also available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at the Utility Billing office, 1761 12th Street, for payments by check or money order.

The rest of City Hall and other city buildings are open to the public. Face coverings are encouraged indoors, the city said.
Staff are monitoring the local positivity rate daily to determine when to fully reopen Utility Billing Services and Development Services to the public.
