Year Four of the Dan Mullen era begins on September 4th against Florida Atlantic. Come join us and watch the Gators kick off 2021 in style!
At long last, the pageantry and energy of Gator football is upon us! After a rough ending to an otherwise strong 2020 campaign, Florida kicks off the 2021 season against Florida Atlantic on September 4th in the Swamp. There's no shortage of storylines for this one, including:
-Former FSU head coach Willie Taggart makes his first ever trip to the Swamp. Only catch is, he's doing so as the FAU head coach.
-Emory Jones makes his first ever start at quarterback for Florida. This also means that a quarterback that Dan Mullen recruited and signed will be starting for Florida for the first time in his tenure.
-Florida leads FAU all time 3-0, but the Gators got far more than bargained for the last time these two schools played. Florida escaped that rainy day in 2015 with a 20-14 overtime victory.
Can Florida win its season opener for the fourth straight season, and take their first step toward reclaiming superiority of the Sunshine State? Come join us at Ireland's Own and Jagerhouse Pub a half hour before kickoff (7pm) so we can all watch together as a Gator community!
