2021 Seattle Elections: Here's Who's On The November Ballot

SEATTLE — With the August primary in the rearview mirror, and election results now certified, voters have a clear picture of what to expect heading into the November general election. Voter turnout in the primary was lower than expected, even for an odd-year, but those who cast a ballot helped determine which two candidates made the final cut in their local and countywide races. Incumbent King County Executive Dow Constantine crossed the 50 percent mark during the primary and will face state Sen. Joe Nguyen, who picked up more than 32 percent of the primary vote. In Seattle, voters narrowed down a crowded field for mayor, and the race is shaping up to be a tight one in November. Former Seattle City Council President Bruce Harrell secured the top spot in the primary, with 34 percent of the vote, and will face sitting Council President M. Lorena González, who trailed by less than two points. In another closely watched race, Seattle will also elect a new city attorney after incumbent Pete Holmes failed to advance. Nicole Thomas-Kennedy, an abolitionist and former public defender, finished first with more than 36 percent of the vote. She will face Ann Davison, an attorney who most recently ran lieutenant governor as a Republican. November ballots will also feature two-way contests for three spots on the Port of Seattle Commission and three school district seats.
