Join the SIU Alumni Association in celebrating the classes of 1970 and 1971. The SIU Alumni Association will be hosting a reunion for the classes of 1970 and 1971 Homecoming Weekend, Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16 on the Alumni Center Courtyard, located on the central patio of Woody Hall, 900 South Normal Avenue, Carbondale, Illinois. An evening reunion gathering will take place from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Friday. Vendors will be serving a variety of food available for purchase. A cash bar will also be available. A catered breakfast will be served under the Alumni Courtyard Tent the following morning, Saturday, October 16 from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m., prior to the start of the Homecoming Parade. Those who plan to attend one or both of these events are asked to RSVP. A limited quantity of hotel rooms are also available at the Home2Suites by Hilton, located at 200 West Elm Street in Carbondale. Rates are $164 plus tax per night and can be reserved by calling the hotel at (618) 713-6717. Please mention the SIU 50th Class Reunion when booking. As the largest and oldest organization on campus, the SIU Alumni Association has been proudly serving SIU alumni and friends since 1896.  It seeks to engage alumni, students, and friends of the university by preserving SIU traditions, promoting pride in an SIU education, and facilitating opportunities for students and alumni to connect professionally.
