Description

NORWALK, CT — As Norwalk students head back to school this month, police will be conducting "zero tolerance" speed enforcement throughout the city. In a news release, Police Lt. Terrence Blake said multiple officers will fan out across Norwalk to conduct intense speed enforcement, which will begin Monday and last two weeks, in preparation for the start of school. Blake pedestrian traffic will increase when school starts for Norwalk Public Schools on Aug. 30, and drivers are asked to be extra observant during this time period. Drivers should also obey directions from school crossing guards that will be posted at or near the schools, Blake said.
